FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Are these prices final?
No. All figures are indicative budget estimates. A commercial quotation is issued only after the terminal, product, volume, route and schedule have been confirmed with the relevant counterparties.
Why does the calculator ask for a conversion factor?
Petroleum products have different densities, so the number of barrels per metric tonne differs. Default factors are approximate and should be replaced with the figure from your product specification.
Are surcharges included automatically?
No. Minimum charges, demurrage, port dues, inspection and taxes are only added when you enter them and select them. Each requires confirmation.
Does Dean Logistics B.V. operate the terminals or vessels?
No. We coordinate with third-party terminal operators and shipping counterparties. All arrangements are subject to availability, due diligence and contractual agreement.
